LOVE and HOPE sculptures in New York City

Where should I do a material for Blog to the Valentine's Day? Especially, given the fact that I live in New York :) Of course, my family and I made photos near the famous monument LOVE at the cross of 6 Avenue and 55 Street in New York City. And then, we took pics near the HOPE sculpture and joined to our photo report.

Some information about the LOVE monument. This is a creation of pop-art guru Robert Indiana. The idea of creating of monument appeared in 1964. Moreover, an architect Indiana invented this sketch specifically for a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art Fair. His chip was slanting letter O in the inscription. The postcard so impressed New Yorkers, that soon, in America there are many sculptures, which dubbed the inscription. For example, a similar monument is in Philadelphia.

The HOPE sculpture located near the LOVE monument. It was set at the crossroads of 7 Avenue and 53 Street. As in life, love and hope should be together :) The author of Hope is the same Robert Indiana, and monuments similar to each other like two drops of water - has changed, in fact, only 2 letters!!! The HOPE Creation appeared in 2009. Robert Indiana said in an interview that in the 60s of the last century, he wanted to cover the whole world with love, and in the early 21st century wants to share hopefully!!!

On this festive note, I want to congratulate all visitors of the portal Talia24.com - Happy Valentine's Day!!! I wish you all the love and hope!!!
