How to travel from New York to Miami by car?
In this article I will try to tell the most practical and applicable information for life. So, we went from New York to Miami for the second time. The first one was on an airplane. The second time we decided to go by car, as we made a dicision to travel at the last minute and tickets at normal prices were no longer (the price was 3 times higher than usual). Just want to say for those who are trying to save money by going by car, at the usual prices for air tickets, it will not work. That is, if you travel by car to see 10 states on the way and to be always "on the go", it's your option only then.
The way from New York to Miami takes about 30 hours. The distance from the Big Apple to Miami Beach is 1300 miles, it's about 2250 km. We drove about 3000 miles in total for the entire trip: the road of round trip plus trips to excursions during the vacation.
The disadvantages of traveling by car. One of the significant disadvantages was parking. Parking can cost up to 40 dollars for a day on Miami Beach. Therefore, just find a parking lot in advance, even before arrival. It is desirable that the parking is public, because on one of the parking lots near us the price and rules were unexpectedly changed on the day of our arrival. We found a public covered parking for $8 a day. The second minus was on returning from such a vacation, you need few more days to rest and sleep :)
Benefits of traveling by car. At first you are always "on the go", so you can drive wherever you want. The secondly, you will not be interested in excursions to the sky-high prices in the hotel. The thirdly, you will take so many things on the trip, how much the soul wants and the size of the trunk will allow :)
